Illini Union Hotel
Hotel WebsiteThe Illini Union Hotel is by far the most convenient location for attendees. It is a 2 minute walk to Noyes Laboratory. The room rate includes free parking, free internet, and a $5 breakfast voucher to any of the vendors in the Union. The hotel was completely renovated in 2009 with new beds and furnishings. There is no pool or spa (there is a workout room); however, you may ask for free passes to the campus recreation facilities (the nearest is about 1/2 mile away). We suggest you book early for best availability.

Mariott TownePlace Suites
Hotel WebsiteJust opened in July, 2015, this property is a smidge closer than the Hampton Inn (.4 miles / 8 minutes) and is in the thick of the restaurants and bars on Green Street. It offers free internet, free full hot breakfast, and full kitchens with dishes for 4. It also has a pool and a workout room. There is on-site parking for an additional daily fee in a covered ramp (the ramp has 4 electric charging stations with included parking).

Hampton Inn
Hotel WebsiteThe Hampton Inn is located 1/2 mile North, or about a 12 minute walk, from Noyes Laboratory. The room rate includes free parking, free internet, and free hot breakfast. There is a fitness room and pool.

i Hotel and Conference Center
Hotel WebsiteThis is a very nice new property located on the South edge of campus. It is 1.6 miles from Noyes Laboratory (or about a 30 minute walk). There is complimentary shuttle service to and from campus; however, an appointment is necessary and shuttle space is limited, so availability is not guaranteed. The hotel has a workout room, and a spa where you can book a massage. You may also ask for free passes to the campus recreation facilities (the nearest is about 1/2 mile away). The room rate includes free parking, free internet and a free beverage and breakfast item each morning. There is also a restaurant on-site. We were only able to block a relatively small number of rooms, so book early for best availability.

Comfort Suites Urbana
Hotel WebsiteThis is a slightly less expensive option located off campus. The rate includes a free full breakfast, free internet, free parking, and a complimentary shuttle to and from campus. There is also a fitness center and a 24-hour pool/hot-tub. There is a manager's reception from 5-7 PM Monday through Wednesday.

Chicago O'Hare Hotels
Should you decide to fly into Chicago on Saturday in advance of the symposium (or stay overnight on Friday to catch a Saturday flight), we suggest the Hilton O'Hare Hotel (at the airport and the location of our charter bus pickup on Friday). The Hilton will be the most convenient (though it may be more expensive), but there are numerous nearby hotels with free airport shuttle service to O'Hare.Hilton O'Hare Website
