We are implementing several overlapping safety measures to minimize the risk of COVID during the conference:
Vaccinations: All meeting attendees are required to be fully vaccinated,
as defined by their country of origin. Registrants will receive a link to VaccineCheck,
a secure third-party site that verifies your vaccination status (e.g. symposium staff
won't know which vaccine you took). We regret that we cannot offer exemptions for this
policy, but we have made every effort to make the virtual experience as seamless as
possible with the in-person experience.
Masks: Masks will be required in all lecture halls
Testing: Rapid tests will be provided to all in-person attendees to test each
morning of the conference. You will receive these on check-in, and we ask you to self-test every morning.
Distancing: We are moving as many of the social events outside as possible,
such as the Tuesday night picnic and the Women's networking reception.
Several standalone HEPA filtration units will be set up in the library (near the
vendor tables and the donuts/coffee) to supplement the filtration already provided
by the building ventilation system.
Quarantine: Attendees who are in shared dorm rooms but test positive will be
asked to move to a single suite, and we have blocked off suites for this purpose.
Thanks for your understanding of the challenging conference environment, and looking
forward to seeing all of you on June 20.
